Reel Queer Youth @ Three Dollar Bill Cinema

Specifically designed for LGBTQA+ youth, you'll create a short film using professional camera and editing equipment with a group of peers in a fun, safe environment. Youth applications are due June 30!
VR/360 Teen Filmmaking Camp @ SIFF & MoPOP

Ages 13 - 18
Learn how to make your own Virtual Reality/360 films over two weeks under the guidance of an expert VR filmmaker and assisting mentors. You must complete a survey before registering. Click here for more info!

Improv Camp for Teens @ Unexpected Productions

Improvisation skills not only make you a better performer but provide life-long tools you can use every day. This class will be during the 21st Seattle International Festival of Improv, taught by Festival members! You must already be a member of TeenTix in order to take this class. Get your improv on!
LEADERSHIP
Teen Arts Group @ Seattle Art Museum
October 2017 - May 2018
High school students only
Teen Arts Group (TAG) is an intensive program for high school-aged youth who are interested in leadership, are highly opinionated, want to learn about themselves and the world through art, and want to make SAM fun and engaging for teens. You'll meet every Thursday and receive community-service learning credit OR a stipend of $599 for your participation. Applications are due by May 29, so don't wait!
Youth Advisors @ MOHAI
September 2017 - June 2018
Ages 14 - 18
MOHAI Youth Advisors (MYA) is a place for high school students to investigate, explore, and be empowered to create a more teen-friendly museum! MYA also interact with MOHAI staff to learn more about the behind-the-scenes work of a museum and dive deeper into local history. This team of fifteen high school students meet regularly from September-June and are paid a monthly stipend. You can get more info here, and make sure you apply by July 9!

Scribes Writing Camps @ Hugo House
July - August 2017
Middle & High School Students
Creative writing at the core, this ~super wide variety~ of camps offers instruction from accomplished writers and include lots of field trips, writing activities, craft exercises, and exposure to myriad genres and writers. Oh, and Scribes partners up with various organizations like Henry Art Gallery, MoPOP, and MOHAI. Check the list for details. If the pen is your instrument, these camps are your sheet music!
MUSIC
The Residency @ MoPOP
July 31 - August 23, 2017
Ages 16 - 19
MoPOP teams up with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (!!!) to offer a three-week intensive that focuses on creative hip-hop songwriting, performance techniques, and beat production. Get paid to learn from—and work alongside—professional teaching artists from Seattle’s vast hip-hop and creative arts community. All participants will record an EP of original music at a professional studio, and put on a final performance inside of MoPOP’s Sky Church! You must apply by June 16 for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Rhythm Generation: Intergenerational Marimba Camp @ ECA
August 7 - 11, 2017
Ages 13 - 19 (and seniors)
Participants will learn to play melodies, harmonies and rhythms, as well as keep time on a variety of marimbas, hand percussion and drums. The camp is structured so that teens play together in a special morning session, then later take the lead to help teach their senior band-mates when the whole group meets! Sound fun? Sign up now!
Rain City Rock Camp for Girls @ MoPOP

All people who identify as female (cis or trans*), trans*, or gender non-conforming are welcome to be campers! Teens come for a week-long intensive study at this advanced music program to experience playing in a band, group songwriting, music business and empowerment workshops, off-site trips to studios & venues, and more!
