Position 1: Member Services Coordinator
$11/hour
8 – 10 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP
General Description:
This position provides administrative support to TeenTix, an arts access and engagement program for 13- to 19-year-olds. You will be responsible for getting TeenTix passes into the hands of 200 – 300 new members each week. This job is a crucial component of the healthy functioning of our organization.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the arts and interested in promoting youth arts participation. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to contribute to making our program better, whether it’s by stuffing envelopes (and you’ll be stuffing a lot of envelopes), updating our calendar, contributing to our blog, talking to students about the program, or participating in long-term planning discussions. Your level of interest and engagement will determine your level of involvement.
Required Skills:
• Knowledge of Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, great follow-through
• Interest in the arts and in promoting youth arts participation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to talk on the phone
• Ability to perform mundane tasks with smile on face
Desirable/Useful Skills:
• Knowledge of social networking sites (facebook, twitter, tumblr, youtube)
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (cropping, resizing, etc.)
• Creative writing skills
• Enthusiastic blogging
• Skill at finding funny memes
• Interest in non-profit arts management, interest in contributing to larger programmatic goals
Upperclassmen are preferred, but all will be considered.
Duties include:
• Maintaining database of Teen Tix members
• Processing new and replacement pass mailings (up to 300 passes per week)
• Providing customer service to TeenTix members via email and phone
• Helping Calendar Coordinator to update weekly calendar of events on TeenTix.org (entering approximately 50 new events per week)
• Additional administrative support as needed
• Attending outreach events as TeenTix representative to recruit new members

You will take the lead on maintaining the TeenTix.org calendar, a compendium of arts events happening at our 53+ member organizations. This job is a crucial component of the healthy functioning of our organization.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the arts and interested in promoting youth arts participation. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to contribute to making our program better, whether it’s by updating our calendar, stuffing envelopes, contributing to our blog, talking to students about the program, or participating in long-term planning discussions. Your level of interest and engagement will determine your level of involvement.
