The TeenTix Press Corps offers arts criticism residencies that foster critical thinking, resulting in empathetic and culturally competent writers. Our in-school Arts Criticism 101 residencies introduce students to the basics of arts criticism and structuring a review, while building their creative, critical thinking, and communication skills. Central to our philosophy is the idea that art provides avenues for youth of all learning styles and backgrounds to discover more about themselves and the world around them.
The Press Corps works collaboratively with classroom teachers and can tailor our curriculum to the genre of art a teacher chooses.
The Press Corps is part of the Creative Advantage Community Arts Partner Roster, a vetted list of teaching artists and community arts and culture organizations approved to work in Seattle Public Schools through the Creative Advantage.
