The Marriage of Figaro, UMKC Conservatory, in White Recital Hall, James C. Olson Performing Arts Center

- UMKC Opera Theatre students present The Marriage of Figaro, an opera in four acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte.
- TeenTix KC Pass holders can buy $5 (or 2-for-$10) tickets in-person on the day of the show at the TeenTix KC table.
Finding Nemo at the Coterie Theatre
Now through December 30
- The beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo comes to life on stage in a new version featuring new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen).
- TeenTix KC Pass holders can order “2-for-$10” tickets by phone or in-person on the day of the show.
- TeenTix tickets are only available the same day of the show. Not all performances have TeenTix tickets available; call the Box Office at 816-474-6552 to verify. The Box Office opens at 10:00am Monday-Friday and at noon on Saturdays and Sundays. If you purchase tickets over the phone, check in at the Box Office with your name and your TeenTix Pass when you arrive. Phone purchases must be paid for by a MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit or debit card. In-person purchases may be made with cash or card. Tickets cannot be held without payment and are subject to availability.

- Experience the extremes of the emotional spectrum in Classical Music. The levity and charm of Mozart’s Quartet K 499 and Grieg’s Holberg suite are interposed between Beethoven’s op.95 and Shostakovich’s haunting 8th Quartet, for what promises to be an event full of thrills and excitement with Opus 76 and students of the Youth Symphony of Kansas City.

- Join us in celebrating Kansas City’s rich cultural heritage at our pop-up marketplace spotlighting Latinx artists. Support local Latinx makers, purchase unique artisan gifts and art, savor food from local vendors, and enjoy live performances by Latinx musicians and entertainers. This event is presented in partnership by Chicano Center for the Arts, Monarca Art Space, Orpheus KC, and Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

Owen/Cox Dance Group: The Nutcracker & the Mouse King at Midwest Trust Center in Polsky Theatre

- Almost everyone is familiar with the traditional version of the holiday story, “The Nutcracker.” Far fewer are aware of the original and notably darker inspiration for this beloved ballet – E.T.A Hoffman’s 1816 story, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.” Owen/Cox Dance Group brings their highly unique, contemporary jazz adaptation of “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” back to the Midwest Trust Center this holiday season!

Infinite Regress: Mystical Abstraction from the Permanent Collection and Beyond at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

- Infinite Regress brings the past in dialogue with the present through selections from the Permanent Collection paired with works by contemporary artists exhibiting at the museum for the first time on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. The exhibition connects these works through a shared vocabulary of mystical abstraction that has both historical and contemporary resonance, engaging periods of extreme transformation in nature and technology.
