Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture
The Sea Mar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture is focused on the life of Mexican Americans, Chicano/as and Latino/as from the earliest times to the present. Through the voice of the people themselves, as well as documents and photos, this museum chronicles and collects the social and economic history of Washington’s Spanish speaking community from World War II to the present.
Our story is told by researching and addressing topics such as work, play, religion, politics, migration, civil rights, family and community. Our collection identifies and preserves how life and communities developed in Washington as people migrated and immigrated to the state.
